Prep and assemble
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place the dish on the counter so you can assemble quickly.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally in one sheet without separating, then place the bottoms in the dish. Keep the roll layers intact so the sliders pull apart cleanly.
- Spread Dijon mustard on the roll bottoms, then layer in the deli turkey and the brie or white cheddar. Press very lightly so the filling stays in place while baking.
- Spread the whole berry cranberry sauce on the cut side of the tops, then place the tops over the filling. Make sure the sauce side faces down into the turkey-cheese layer.
Bake and finish
- Whisk the melted butter, honey, poppy seeds, and dried thyme, then brush the mixture over the tops. Use a generous coat so the tops turn golden.
- Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes at 350°F. Look for the filling to be steaming when you remove the foil.
- Uncover and bake for 5 minutes at 350°F until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted. Watch for bubbling cheese at the edges as a visual cue.
Serve
- Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Keep them in the baking dish for neat, easy serving.
Notes
Pro tip: for the cleanest pull-apart sliders, slice using a sharp serrated knife right after baking while the rolls are warm. Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for up to 3 days; rewarm in a 300°F oven until hot. Freezing is not recommended because the cranberry and cheese texture can soften. For a lighter option, swap the brie/cheddar for reduced-fat cheese and use light butter.
