Ingredients

Patriotic punch base and layers
  • 2 cup cranberry juice chilled
  • 2 cup lemonade or white grape juice chilled
  • 2 cup blue raspberry lemonade or blue sports drink chilled
  • 1 L lemon-lime soda chilled; add right before serving
  • 1 ice cubes
  • 1 fresh strawberries and blueberries for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 punch bowl

Method

Build the layered punch
  1. Fill a large clear punch bowl or pitcher with ice.
  2. Pour cranberry juice over the ice as the base red layer.
  3. Slowly add lemonade over the back of a ladle to create a white middle layer without mixing.
  4. Gently pour the blue raspberry drink over the ladle to float as the top blue layer.
Finish and serve
  1. Add a splash of lemon-lime soda right before serving for fizz.
  2. Garnish with fresh strawberries and blueberries and serve immediately.

Notes

For crisp, visible layers, make sure every juice and soda is well chilled and pour slowly over the ladle so the streams fall gently. Best served right away after adding the lemon-lime soda; leftovers keep in the refrigerator up to 24 hours, but the layers and fizz will soften. Freezing is not recommended because carbonation and texture degrade. Dietary swap: use diet/low-sugar lemonade or light blue sports drink to reduce added sugar.
